BuzzFeed is looking for a product leader to take our Mobile apps to the next level. We’re a new kind of media company for the social world. Our technology powers the social distribution of content, detects what is trending on the web, and connects people in realtime with the hottest content of the moment. Our site is a rapidly growing hub for media that reaches over 20 million monthly unique visitors and our network tracks an additional 300M uniques. This role will report directly to our Head of Product.
This job is based in our NYC offices, and we offer competitive compensation and stock option program.
Oversee product for our iPhone, iPad, Android apps, and contribute as well to Mobile Web
Work closely with mobile development team to implement mobile-native versions of web features
Innovate new mobile-centric features and experiences for social content
Monitor and drive mobile growth metrics, working closely with our growth team
Work with designers to improve and maintain app experience and visual design and branding
Designing and shipping beautiful, functional, successful iOS and Android apps
Demonstrated ability to design and ship products with great user experience
Understand intuitively the latest developments in mobile UI design and technologies
Understand the social web and are familiar with how Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. work, esp on mobile.
