AOL Platforms needs an Account Director to lead one of Adap.tv’s largest enterprise client engagements, driving technology adoption and business growth in Chicago.
In this role, the Account Director will be responsible for the business relationships across a major agency holding company on behalf of Adap.tv, and will guide the clients’ use of the Adap.tv platform and automated buying activity. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to ensure success against the existing business. Partnering with the sales team to pursue new growth opportunities, and build senior, advisory relationships throughout the client organization is paramount. Candidate should be passionate about technology.
So who is the ideal Digital Ad Sales Account Executive for Adap.tv?
Know your way around and handle yourself – from junior operations up through senior executives, establishing trusted relationships and serving as a subject matter expert. Act as advocate for the customer internally, driving product requests and prioritization over the customer lifecycle. You’re going to be wanted to ensure customer success as the clients adopt their technology for automated media planning, buying/selling, data integration, ad serving, campaign optimization, and reporting analyzing activity, focusing on performance, customer insights, and ROI.
Forecast, manage, and achieve quarterly targets around revenue, while establishing client best practices, and develop new processes to help the customer relationship scale. Create complex customer engagement, including leading and motivating a cross-functional team of sales directors, client service managers, account coordinators, product managers, and client strategy resources. Since more is better, Increase the stickiness and revenue of existing relationships by selling customers on deeper, more strategic engagements – via new technology features/capabilities, additional inventory/demand, RTB/programmatic buying/selling, connecting to private exchanges.
Deep understanding of agency holding companies, trading desks, and media agencies. Do business and manage client relationships with a sense of accountability and urgency, but also willing to be “in the trenches” with the team to ensure executional excellence on behalf of assigned accounts. 8–12 years of account management experience, 5–7 years of online advertising experience; emphasis on video and/or programmatic a plus. You want to be a keystone for growing a video advertising business
