Open Graph Apps Exploding – Are the Jobs Here?

Open Graph Apps Exploding – Are the Jobs Here? The Genie is out of the lamp, with Open Graph software development jobs continuing their expansion and 1,675,685 sites using this technology. It is likely that a multitude of developers are at this very minute mobilizing to add Open Graph to their personal toolkits. Scores of ads for Java and Facebook developers, Web developers and Front end Engineers are being posted. Many of these require Open Graph experience. So it’s definitely advisable to get started with Open Graph protocol by implementing it on a website. Facebook has provided documentation, which is available to everyone. The Open Graph protocol can transform any web page into an independent rich object in a social graph. It enables any web page to have identical functionality to that of other Facebook objects. The greatest users of Open Graph are news, shopping and business sites. Many popular applications have implemented Open Graph. A small sample includes Foodspotting, Spotify, eBay, Graphtree, Zynga, Goodreads and Ticketmaster. One application with a wide scope is Graphtree, developed by a Finnish company. It incorporates iOS and Android operating systems with products like Foursquare, Wikipedia, Yelp and other tools to provide geographic services…

Is Ebay a Comeback or Going Away Story?

With an estimated 2012 sales of $8 billion and 90 million downloads of Ebay’s mobile app,  Mobile retailing is one of the fastest growing businesses for Ebay. On the decline for years Ebay’s most promising segments are PayPal payments and mobile retailing.  The conventional wisdom in terms of Internet companies is that once decline sets in in terms of earnings. Ebay seems to be the exception to that rule. Ebay shares hit a peak of $54 in 2004, but by early 2009 its stock was at slightly over $10. Now it’s stock is back trading at more than $40 a share in 2012.  The majority of growth this year came from mobile retailing and PayPal payments.  A significant change in senior leadership also helped the company grow. The company’s website is an online person-to-person trading community online. The company has come a long way since its founding and competes with companies such as Amazon. Ebay has a bright future and recently unveiled a new eCommerce platform called X.commerce, at the Ebay’s developer conference.  More than 4,000 developers were at the event, showing that developers are eager to work for this booming company. Ebay has recently developed some new partnerships with…
