Cappex is seeking a creative and passionate Strategic Account Executive who will be accountable for advertising sales and strategy to drive and grow digital revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker, capable of working with senior level clients, articulate and passionate about digital advertising.
In this role, you will report to the Sr. VP of Marketing to manage advertising, sponsorship and custom development, and sales efforts while overseeing client and agency relationships. You will develop a pipeline of advertisers in all markets with the purpose of cold calling, prospecting, identifying, sourcing, pitching, defining, negotiating, closing and managing interactive advertising revenue from direct advertisers, ad agencies and network partners.
You’re needed to continually pitch direct clients and advertising agencies on new campaigns; Understand client business models to effectively onboard new business. Develop and maintain relationships at all personnel levels within an account, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the account’s organization, needs and revenue potential. Perform weekly, monthly sales tracking, and quarterly forecasting. Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries. Meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas while working with cross-functional teams internally to ensure campaign success and growth of partnerships. Represent the company with the highest level of integrity.
Who is the ideal Strategic Account Executive for Cappex?
They are looking for a candidate who will consistently deliver both long term strategic sales as well as tactical short term deals and constantly be driving towards maximizing the revenue opportunities across all accounts. Independently manage pipeline development; identify and translate business opportunities into revenue. Strategize and generate revenue through sales calls and sales presentations introducing and positioning the Cappex cross-channel advertising opportunities (banners, sponsorships, co-registrations, email, social media) into high-value brand advertiser accounts.
3+ years’ experience in the marketing and sales of digital advertising for online content, specifically sponsorship, display and co-registration opportunities (Banner, Display, Sponsorships, Social Media, Email, and Mobile). Proven track record in developing and maintaining profitable relationships with advertising agencies and direct advertisers and meeting or exceeding individual revenue targets on a consistent basis. Demonstrated ability to work with clients to come up with creative solutions to their advertising needs. Fast learner and team player with ability to excel in a highly competitive market and fast-paced internal environment.
Highly efficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook) and knowledge of using analytics tools to deliver campaign performance metrics. Education technology, DART for Publishers and CRM experience (e.g. salesforce) a plus. Must be adaptable as dynamics around the role and responsibility within the organization change as the team evolves.
