Will Grey Advertising Succeed at this Adventure?

will grey advertising succeed at this adventure

In the modern marketing climate social media continues to gain serious ground, and micro businesses and individuals are taking more market share every year from the traditional advertising agency. This leaves ad agencies looking for new ways to build their business profitably and stay competitive. Given their closeness to the market and customers, some agencies are using their knowledge, creativity and marketing expertise to do more than just advertise. To that end, a New York advertising agency called Grey Advertising has created a new business within their existing umbrella business, Grey Group, called Grey Adventures. The Link is Creativity Grey Adventures is a new unit designed to work with clients of the ad agency to flesh out new products and services that may come to light during the process of branding and campaign development. Grey isn’t the first ad agency to move into this new area. Others have added similar units, with results such as developing toys designed for parents with paralysis to be able to play with their kids and starting an accelerator program for startup companies. In the same way that social media and online marketing have taken over large portions of the total marketing and advertising market, and that traditional careers and…

The Techcrunch Interviews: Talkitt: Giving Disabled People a Voice

At Media Jobs we like to bring you the most innovative companies.  In this interview we will learn about a disability innovation from a new company that could help disabled people regain their voice. About 1.5% of people in the Western World have some form of communications limitations due to medical conditions including Motor Neurone Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Brain Damage and Autism. Current “talk” solutions utilize body movements however they do not truly enable the individuals to actually speak.   Talkitt is unique in that it is an inexpensive smart phone app that will use the users own voice to communicate. Imagine having something to say but no way to communicate it.  Talkitt’s Chief Executive (CEO) Danny Weissberg came up with the idea in Israel back in 2012 after his grandmother had a stroke that severely impaired her speech. We spoke with Talkitt’s US head of Business Development, Sara Smolley to learn more about this yet to be released product.   Roy: This is Roy Weissman from MediaJobs.com. We’re talking with Sara Smolley from Voiceitt.   You have a product called Talkitt. What is Talkitt? What was the reason for creating it? What problems are we solving.   Sara: Talkitt is…

The Techcrunch Interviews: Flyhomes: Buy a House and Get a Free Flight

At Media Jobs we like to bring you the most innovative companies.  In this interview we will learn about a new company that is differentiating themselves in the highly competitive residential real estate market by targeting the upscale market of frequent flyers and how awarding thousands of frequent flyer points can create a new business model for selling homes.  Imagine being able to take a free vacation after spending your life savings on a home. Listen in as Roy Weissman of MediaJobs.com interviews the CEO and Founder of Flyhomes.com Stephen Lane.     Roy: This is Roy Weissman from Mediajobs.com and we’re talking with Stephen Lane, the CEO of FlyHomes. What is FlyHomes? How did this idea come about? What problem are you trying to solve?   Steven: FlyHomes is an online real estate brokerage with a new way to buy real estate online that we launched in Seattle that literally lets buyers own their own home buying process. The kicker, which is the fun word of mouth thing is, again, they earn airline miles through the entire home purchase. In Seattle, if you buy a half a million dollar home, you earn a half million airline miles.   In terms of how the process started, and…

After all, gaming is one of the fastest growing and most popular markets in the world within the sphere of technology. But gaming isn’t only, as many think of it, developing MMORPGs or the next Minecraft. In fact, if you’re looking for a job in gaming that’s kind of under the radar with probably a lot less competition, you might want to consider jobs at Publisher’s Clearing House. Yes, you read that right. Confused? Don’t be. Yes, really. PCH uses gaming and flash-purchase opportunities to keep their customers entertained and engaged once they’ve registered online in the hopes of getting one of those big checks delivered to their own door. Customizable Digital Advertising Displays that look Great on your Feet.

Customizable Digital Advertising displays that look great on your feet.

So have you read MediaJobs most recent article from Roy Weissman about skipping on trying to make money on the ads and just going straight to selling products?  What would you say if the product being sold WAS the digital advertising outlet? Lately we’ve been going in-depth on the wearable technology front like the LED fabrics we covered and most of us have already become aware of the strides that have been made with flexible electronics, so check this out. Presently a company called ShiftWear is working hard seeking funding for their miraculous product on Indiegogo. The product being promoted is a prototype pair of shoes that have screens incorporated into them. The screens are made from flexible E-Ink color displays, a type of super-thin digital screen that mimics the appearance of paper. Digital shoes, well, what are the implications for advertisers? On the screens you can display two types of images, static or moving, and the image presented can be customized and selected by Bluetooth communication (jobs for Bluetooth communication) via a smartphone app or tablet. You could even display photographs. The idea is to let users browse, download, and program designs for the shoes. Art can be created…
